Frequently asked questions

Do you help in location selection?

Yes, Absolutely! Once you become a franchisee, our seasoned commercial brokerage team of experts will not only short list locations, but also negotiate the lease directly with the landlords. This process takes anywhere from fifteen days to three months. We currently have over 25 leases with all the major landlords in Ontario, under our umbrella of Volt Ventures Brands. An in depth proper due diligence will be done prior to lease signing. We have seasoned and highly experienced realtors to ensure we find the perfect spot for your store!

How does the financing work?

The Canada Small Business Financing Loan (CSBFL) program makes it easier for you to get the small business funding you need. All banks support the CSBFL program, your credit score needs to be above 700 and For a SHAKE THERAPY project you need to have unencumbered cash of a minimum of 110,000. An asset in Canada helps but it’s not mandatory.

How much do you charge for training?

How much time does it take to go live?

The location hunt starts 48 hours after you become a franchisee, depending on the city that takes anywhere from fifteen days to three months. Permit preparation takes a month, city will take about two to three months, actual construction takes about eleven to twelve weeks. In total the store should be up and running in about ten moths to a year from the time you secure your territory.

Do I need a professional chef to operate a Dosa Eatery?

At Dosa Eatery, our goal is to make kitchen operations simple, efficient, and easy to manage for every franchise partner.

Our centralized kitchen prepares key components such as batter, fillings, and base ingredients, allowing for consistency in taste and quality across all locations. As a result, the in-store preparation process is streamlined and does not require highly specialized culinary experience.

Most menu items, including dosas, can be learned by any capable team member within a short period of time. With our structured processes and hands-on guidance, staff can typically be trained within approximately one week.

We provide initial training and ongoing operational support at no additional cost to help ensure your team is confident and ready to execute the menu effectively.

While we may assist in guiding and supporting staffing where required, each franchise location has the flexibility to hire and manage its own team. This approach reduces dependency on specialized chefs and allows franchisees to operate efficiently with a lean and scalable team structure.
